Music has the power to create a safe space where everyone is heard, accepted, and understood. The concert will serve as a tribute to World Mental Health Day, and the program will feature the Riga Chamber Choir (women’s choir), the Mīts Youth Choir, and the Riga Girls’ Choir performing repertoires they have prepared for international competitions and festivals.
A special place in the program is reserved for the wonderful singer Elizabete Laura Porgante, whose doctoral research focuses on the vocal health and well-being of singers. Her solo performances will organically complement the concert’s theme, reminding us that the voice is not merely an instrument - it is closely linked to a person’s physical, emotional, and mental health.
The program of the concert You Are Not Alone is a call from the singers to be more attentive to one another, to appreciate the power of being together, and to remember that sometimes a single conversation, a single glance, or a song sung together can become the beginning of hope. At the same time, it will serve as testament to the fact that making music together not only produces high artistic quality but also strengthens individuals, communities, and society.
