The Museum of Decorative Arts and Design, in collaboration with the Jewellery Art Association, is continuing its ‘Spektrs’ series of pop-up exhibitions, showcasing current trends in Latvian jewellery art. This exhibition focuses on the line as one of the fundamental elements of jewellery design – the contour, structure, rhythm and drawing in space.
Participating jewellery artists include Māris Auniņš, Jānis Brants, Vladislavs Čistjakovs, Andris Lauders, Una Mikuda, Anita Savicka, Paula Treimane and Jānis Vilks. The artists’ works reveal various approaches to establishing relationships between line, material, space and the body within the context of jewellery.
