Combining acoustic piano music, the energy of electronic music, and innovative sound technologies, the musicians will present an impressive audiovisual concert show in Riga, in which the sound of the classical grand piano takes on unexpected and astonishing dimensions.
The German duo Grandbrothers - pianist and composer Erol Sarp and sound engineer and software developer Lukas Vogel, has become one of the most prominent names in the world of contemporary classical and electronic music today.
Their unique sound is created by integrating the latest technologies and electronic textures generated during live performances into the sound of the classical piano. No digital samples or virtual synthesizers are used on stage - all the music is created right there before the audience’s eyes by physically transforming the instrument’s acoustic sound using a self-designed electromechanical system.
