Winter-wear on parade in Riga Zoo
01 Oct - 14 Dec
Animals are already preparing warm fur coats for winter. For many species they differ from summer attire, which is why autumn is a special time at Riga Zoo – like a magic trick, new inhabitants have appeared. In the summer, the brown lynx family has now become gray, while camels, raccoon, and many other animals are taking pride in their thick furs, and thus are now much larger. Meanwhile, deer families have other worries – the rutting period.
