Spring season at Riga Zoo

01 Apr - 31 May
Spring is in the air, and there is an increase in activity in all of the enclosures. Peacocks flaunt their exquisite tails to attract the females - look at me, I am the best! Cranes can also be seen dancing proudly and trumpeting with one another. New editions to the zoo's many animal families are also born throughout the spring, where for hours visitors can view their parents care for them, as well as watch the little ones play. As they become older, their appearance and behavior also change. Enjoy a refreshing day out at the Riga Zoo, with its charming location of the banks of Lake Ķīšezers, among the grand pine trees of Mežaparks!
