The collection includes antique jeweled crowns and terrifying African helmet masks (all bewitched), 2-meter-high shaman hats and bonnets made of human hair, headbands of bark and gold-shining wedding headdress.

The founder of the museum, scholar and traveler Kirill Babaev, has brought here hundreds of most extravagant hats, helmets, shawls and bonnets representing disappearing cultures of various ethnic groups of all continents.

And most of that can be both pictured and tried on! And for those who want to learn more about the history of the hat or to weave traditional hats and head wreaths, the museum offers popular lectures and classes by some of the best specialists in English, Russian or Latvian.

The museum invites both children and grown-ups to a most exciting journey around the world!
