On 3 and 4 October, the Biķernieki circuit will host the "NEZ Drift Grand Final 2026 - Final Fight", bringing together Latvian and international drift drivers for the season’s decisive battles. Around 130 competitors, three competition classes, two tracks and a battle for the championship honours. Spectators can look forward to two days packed with the thrills of motorsport.
Three classes, two tracks and five finals, plus "First Steps in Racing".
What will make the "Drift Grand Final 2026" special is that the competition will take place on two tracks simultaneously. Drivers in the "PRO" and "Pro2" classes will compete on the main Biķernieki track, whilst the "Street" class races will take place at the Spīdveja Stadium. Both tracks will be located within the same event site, even though they will host two completely separate competitions, allowing spectators to move between the spectator areas and follow the races in different classes. In total, three track configurations will be used over the weekend, with five tandem race sessions - or finals - taking place.
Saturday: qualifying; Sunday: the decisive races.
On Saturday, 3 October, practice sessions and qualifying are scheduled for all classes. During these, the riders will take to the track individually to secure a place in the tandem races and the best possible position for the subsequent battles. Running alongside this will be "First Steps in Racing".
On Sunday, 4 October, following the tandem practice sessions, the season’s decisive duels will begin. Riders will take to the track in pairs, demonstrating precision, speed and the ability to stay as close as possible to their opponent. It is during these races that the winners of the competition and the season’s title holders will be decided.
On Sunday, the main programme is scheduled to run from 12.00 to 19.00, whilst entry to the event site will be possible from 9.00. On both days of the competition, the participants’ park will be open to spectators. This will be an opportunity to see the racing cars up close, watch the teams at work and get a behind-the-scenes look at the drift competition, from preparations for the start to the final technical checks between runs.
There is no age restriction for the event, and entry will be free for children up to and including the age of nine.
With a ticket purchased for the main day of the competition – 4 October 2026 – you can also attend the closed practice sessions on 3 October and even 2 October, which are included in the ticket. The biggest drift fans can enjoy the drifting action for up to three days on a single ticket.
