FIA IDC Drift World Cup 2025

FIA Intercontinental World Drift Cup in Riga. Record at the Biķernieki track with participants from 33 countries. The FIA Intercontinental Drift Cup will make its long-awaited return this year, with the event taking place from October 3 to 4. The competition will be held at the Biķernieki track, which is the only permanent car racing track in Latvia. The competition will be held together with the Baltic and Latvian season finales. The full competition days for all championships will be October 3-5.

This will be the first time since 2021 that this competition will once again bring together the world's leading drifting talents for individual competitions, where the FIA title will be awarded. The 2025 FIA World Drift Cup will feature 45 participants from 33 countries, which is likely to be the largest number of countries ever to compete at the Biķernieki track since its inception. Athletes from 33 member countries will arrive in Riga and compete not only for individual points, but 12 countries, including Latvia, will also compete for national points.

Among the participants will be well-known Baltic representatives - Čirba, Vasiliauskas, Kroģeris, Bertāns, Randalu and Strelkovs, as well as other famous names from Europe. Poland is bringing a particularly strong team to Riga - Prižigonskis and Korpulinskis will compete in Riga.

This competition stands out with its truly global range of participants – all athletes are experienced, have participated in several championships and won awards. For the first time, the Middle East region will also be widely represented in FIA drift competitions – athletes from the United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Oman, and Egypt will arrive in Riga. Many participants are transporting their cars to Latvia by plane, and some have already arrived in Biķernieki.

A participant from Japan will also take part in the competition – Japan is considered the birthplace of drifting.

The starting list is also complemented by a very bright name - Joao Barion from Brazil, who gained worldwide recognition by participating in the Netflix show "Hyperdrive." His car is already in Latvia, and this time Joao will not be the only Brazilian – which means that Brazil will also participate in the Nations Cup standings. There are many big names and different countries, 33 in total — Brazil, El Salvador, Japan, Austria, Denmark, Egypt, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Jamaica, Latvia, Lebanon, Lithuania, Moldova, Morocco, Mozambique, the Netherlands, Norway, Oman, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK, Ukraine, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan.

A 3-day ticket, which includes both the FIA IDC and the Baltic Finals, costs EUR 50.
