Every summer in August, the Orchestra Riga, together with local organists, invites music lovers to be enchanted by classical music at Riga Dome Cathedral.
The concert will be a reunion of the Orchestra Riga with conductor Jānis Liepiņš, the first Kapellmeister of the National Theatre Mannheim. Under his direction, the "pipes" of the symphonic wind orchestra will respond to the pipe arsenal of the Riga Dome Cathedral organ played by Aigars Reinis. The programme will include music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Anton Bruckner and Benjamin Britten.
