As summer draws to a close and a new school year begins, Riga will host the first-ever Riga International Kite Festival "Fantadroms" – a brand-new international event bringing together kite artists, designers and creative teams from around the world.
Blending art, design, movement and outdoor fun, Fantadroms promises a colourful experience for visitors of all ages. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy spectacular kite flying demonstrations by international professionals, creative workshops for children and young people, interactive activities, and a lively festival atmosphere. The event aims to become a new Baltic tradition while strengthening Riga's reputation as a vibrant destination for international cultural events.
Artists from across Europe, Australia and beyond will fill the skies with imaginative kite creations. Alongside the festival, visitors can also enjoy the closing event of the sailing season on the Daugava, spectacular kiteboarding demonstrations, a food court, family attractions, market stalls and entertainment throughout the festival grounds. Fantadroms celebrates creativity, imagination and the simple joy of looking up at the sky.
