On May 11th, the farmer and fishing yards, the mill, the school and the parish hall will be brought to life by Latvian amateur theaters in the genre of improvisation by presenting possible events- celebrations, daily life, etc - and also visitors will be able to become part of the family, guests and other characters as part of the events.
This year marks 100 years since one of the most unique museums in our country and the world opened its doors - the Ethnographic Open-air Museum of Latvia. In addition to many other events that will take place during the anniversary year, one of the main events will be the opening of the museum season on May 11, 2024. The Latvian word "rosme", which is a broad concept and means full of life and activity, was chosen as a leitmotif for the opening event for the 100th anniversary of the Ethnographic Open-air Museum of Latvia.
