We will see 45 of the best drift drivers from more than 20 countries around the world - both Drift Masters season drivers and wild card drivers, including 5 Latvians.
This year, the race will start on Thursday with free practice, and on Friday - 25 July will be the first official day of the race, with official practice, qualifying heats and a special "shake down" tandem session, while on Saturday - 26 July the race will start with tandem practice, followed by tandem heats for the TOP32 athletes. All tickets are valid for both days of the Drift Masters Riga.
Several well-known Latvian drift drivers will take to the start line together. One of them, James Dean, is a sportsman who has earned his fame by becoming a multiple Formula Drift and European Drift Champion, and is always welcomed by Latvian fans as one of their own. James hasn't won at Bikernieki since 2020 and will definitely do his best to return to the podium at his favourite track. One of James' biggest rivals in Bikernieki will be Polish rider Piotr Wiecek, who incidentally won in Riga in both 2021 and 2022.
The Estonian drivers Kevin Pesur and Oliver Randalu are also among the highlights, and are now confidently starting their 2025 season with podium finishes at the Drift Masters Round 1 in Spain. Of course, this year will also see the powerful Shanahan brothers from Ireland, who are one of the leading drift drivers in Europe, and this year both brothers are driving in Formula Drift. And of course, we can't forget to mention Lauri Heinonen from Finland, one of the most outstanding drivers and currently the overall leader, who continues to show better and better results from round to round.
