The Aleksandrs Čaks Memorial Apartment is a place where one will encounter an authentic environment, created in a mundane yet artistic manner, that was once inhabited by a legend, the urbane Aleksandrs Čaks, considered the founder of modern Latvian poetry.
The poet's furniture, library, valuable art pieces, household objects, photographs, letters, documents, garments and textiles have been preserved in a unique way for more than 50 years. The apartment still contains the poet's works and the emanating atmosphere of his world view.
This is the last residence of Čaks, where he lived from 1937 until his death in 1950.
