The Old Town
The charming Three Brothers houses, the sidewalk pastels of Jauniela street, the romantic Swedish gates, the impressive Dome Square and the panoramic view from the St. Peter's Church – the Insta-opportunities are endless here.
Split by the city canal this lush green park has its own miniature lighthouse, a marvellous fountain, a cute Chinese pavilion, blooming flowerbeds and a plenty of grassland for a picnic, basking in the sun and a profusion of benches that gives a front row view to the buzz of the park life.

Get ready for some serious neck-craning, because the street is lined with stunning Art Nouveau wonders with ornately decorated façades.

Tallinn street courtyard
If you stroll the streets of Riga and wander where all the street art is hidden, then now you know – it’s here. Nestled in a garage complex, Tallinn street courtyard is a former emergency car depot reimagined as a creative district and has become the latest hotspot for local revellers. Ask any local where to capture amazing photos of the sunset and they will point towards Andrejosta – the industrial port area is an oasis of calm. No filter will be needed!
On does not necessarily need to go to the West coast to amble on the breakwaters as Mangalsala jetty is just 20-minute drive away from the city centre. The highlight here is the stately red lighthouse at the end of the pier.
Housed in formidable hangars that once housed German army zeppelins, The Central Market has so many photo-ops it’s almost bewildering – from heaps of fermented goods, to mountains of spices and charismatic stallholders. And once the summer comes, the enormous outdoor area abounds with fresh veggies, fruits and berries.
