Riga Investment and Tourism Agency announces new calls for the Riga Startup ecosystem support programme (RSESP) and the Riga Startup accelerator and incubator support programme (RSAISP).
The RSESP aims to foster the growth of Riga’s startup ecosystem by co-financing and supporting organisations engaged in startup development (www.em.gov.lv/lv/jaunuznemumi). In this way, the programme encourages the emergence of new startups and strengthens Riga’s visibility as a startup-friendly city.
Meanwhile, the aim of the RSAISP is to promote the development of startup accelerators and incubators in Riga through co-financing, by supporting organisations whose daily activities are related to startup acceleration and incubation programmes, thereby encouraging the creation of new competitive startups and enhancing Riga’s reputation as a startup-friendly location.
Fredis Bikovs, Director of the Agency, comments:
“Both Riga startup support programmes have become an important driving force in the life and development of our city’s startup ecosystem. Given the high level of interest in previous years, we plan to slightly increase the amount of available funding this year. The results of these programmes have made the overall development of the ecosystem in recent years clearly visible and beneficial for the city’s growth. Therefore, we will continue to support organisations whose daily work is dedicated to the growth of startups.”

Applications for the RSESP will be accepted until 30 January 2026, while applications for the RSAISP will be accepted until 13 March 2026.
