Artist and ceramist Anatolijs Borodkins (1947) looks back on his creative work and interacts with his pieces in a retrospective solo exhibition.
Born in Ukraine, the artist is a widely recognized ceramist who has been working in professional ceramics in Latvia for several decades. His professional identity spans several fields - painting, sculpture, architecture, and interior design. The artist's works often extend beyond frames and pedestals. His interest in exteriors reflects his desire to influence the surrounding environment and make art part of the urban space or landscape. In this retrospective solo exhibition, this can be seen as a transition from small forms to ambitious projects that define space.
