Enjoy an inspiring evening of choral music performed by the Heinz Chapel Choir of the University of Pittsburgh (USA) in a historic and acoustically remarkable setting.
Founded in 1938 alongside the dedication of the iconic Heinz Memorial Chapel, the choir has been an integral part of the university’s musical life for nearly nine decades.
Over its 88‑year history, the Heinz Chapel Choir has performed music from diverse historical periods and cultural traditions in many languages. While its origins lie in chapel services, the ensemble has evolved into a non‑liturgical concert choir rooted in the a cappella tradition. The choir unites students from various academic fields, connected by a shared passion for choral music and artistic excellence.
The concert is conducted by Susan Rice, the choir’s tenth director and a Teaching Professor at the University of Pittsburgh, who brings extensive academic and artistic experience to the ensemble.
