The exhibition is dedicated to writer and art theorist Viktors Eglītis, his second wife, painter and writer Hilda Vīka, and Viktors’ sons - writer and painter Anšlavs Eglītis and musician and lawyer Vidvuds Eglītis, telling a story about the Eglītis family and its members.
The exhibition features works of art by Anšlavs Eglītis and Hilda Vīka, drawings by Viktors Eglītis, notes on poems, and several manuscripts of Anšlavs Eglītis’ literary works.
Viktors Eglītis maintained friendly relationships with many Latvian modernists, as evidenced in the exhibition by the portraits of Viktors Eglītis and his first wife, Marija Stalbova, painted by Jēkabs Kazaks, Konrāds Ubāns, Voldemārs Tone, Romans Suta, and Aleksandra Beļcova. The exhibited artworks are complemented by photographs and video recordings from the family archive.
