The Baltic Ballet Festival is a world-renowned festival that has hosted many well-known stars from America, Europe, Asia, and, of course, our neighbouring countries. This festival provides an excellent opportunity to experience performances and artists performing in the world's most prominent concert halls and festivals. Masterclasses are organised for young Latvian dancers. The festival's motto is still - From Classics to Avant-garde.
The Kyiv Modern Ballet Theatre, founded in 2005 by choreographer Radu Poklitaru, is one of the leading ambassadors of Ukrainian contemporary ballet and a driving force behind its development. The company’s distinctive dancers captivate audiences around the world with performances that are diverse, emotionally rich, and compelling.
The repertoire features works by Radu Poklitaru, alongside creations by emerging and talented Ukrainian choreographers. At the festival, Kyiv Modern Ballet will present the one-act ballet I Love You, set to music by Pēteris Vasks and performed with the Sinfonietta Rīga orchestra.
