Nominees announced for the “Riga Business Award 2025” in seven categories

Continuing the tradition, the “Riga Business Award” will be presented for the fifth consecutive year at a special ceremony honouring Riga’s most successful companies across priority business and investment sectors in seven categories. This year, the ceremony will take place on 27 November at the historic Small Guild building, with the participation of the Chairman of the Riga City Council, Viesturs Kleinbergs.

The “Riga Business Award 2025” is presented to leading companies in six of Riga’s priority sectors – startups, global business services, information and communication technologies, real estate, life sciences, high-value-added manufacturing, and, since 2024, the new category “Riga’s New Company of the Year.” In evaluating applications across all categories, the jury considered not only quantitative growth indicators but also criteria such as newly created jobs, investments carried out or attracted, contributions to sustainability, employee well-being, innovation, and other sector-specific achievements.

This year’s evaluation jury included: Roberts Alhimionoks, CEO of the Latvian Startup Association (Startin.lv); Aļesja Kirčenko, Chair of the Board of the Association of Business Service Leaders in Latvia (ABSL Latvia); Andris Melnūdris, Chair of the Board of the Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association (LIKTA); Laura Bluša, Project Manager at the Real Estate Developers Alliance (NĪAA); Vladislava Marāne, Director of the Association of International Research-based Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (SIFFA); Inese Berga, Executive Director of the Latvian Electrical Engineering and Electronics Industry Association (LETERA); Kaspars Gorkšs, Executive Director of the Employers’ Confederation of Latvia (LDDK); Edīte Alksne, Deputy Chair of the Board of the Riga Entrepreneurs Association, Edgars Bergholcs, Chair of the Riga City Council City Development Committee.

“Today, we are pleased and proud to announce the nominees for the “Riga Business Award.” These companies are already shaping Riga’s future through their professionalism and contribution to the city’s development. On 27 November, we will honour the laureates who have stood out in particular and become a strong source of inspiration for others – proving that entrepreneurship has the power to drive Riga forward,”
