To enrich its repertoire, the Orchestra Riga invites the mixed choir of the Latvian Academy of Culture Sōla, under the direction of Kaspars Ādamsons, to perform the melodic and emotional piece Lacrimosa by Arturs Maskats.
This piece is being performed for the first time in a version for wind orchestra and choir. The composer Vilnis Šmīdbergs created this version specifically for this concert and its participants. The concert will also feature striking works by Pēteris Vasks, Andris Dzenītis, Pēteris Plakidis and Jēkabs Jančevskis.
