The Ukrainian-born violist has long been a close friend and creative collaborator of chamber orchestra Sinfonietta Rīga and its founder Normunds Šnē. Since his study years, spent in the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, he has also kept up similarly close ties with Bulgarian composer Dobrinka Tabakova, who has composed several works inspired by Rysanov's style of performance.
