The combination of Western harmony, hypnotic gnawa and Congolese rhythms creates a dizzyingly exotic soundscape, where musical layers from different cultures overlap in energetically charged improvisations. The complex polyrhythms of the piano parts, the pentatonic themes of the guembri, and the capricious rhythms of the drums pulsate with the sounds of life and freedom.
All three very different musicians join forces on stage, finding a common musical language and fully danceable jazz, while retaining the poetic nature of the sound.
