"Krāminieks" flea market at Āgenskalns market

Every Saturday and Sunday, collectors of antiquities, neighbouring children, senior citizens, dogs and street food trucks gather for a chat in the yard of Āgenskalns market. "Krāminieks" flea market offers antiquities from previous decades - analogue photo cameras, garage tools, bicycles, antique postcards, stamps and posters, binoculars and other exciting objects with a story. And when you get tired from browsing, you can take a break by getting yourself a treat from the market’s food hall.

Why visit

If you love treasure hunting or simply enjoy browsing through history, the Krāminieks flea market is a must-see when visiting Riga. Held every weekend in the outdoor courtyard of Āgenskalns Market, it offers a rich mix of antiques, vintage items, household goods, old tools, vinyl records, postcards, clocks, and quirky collectibles. It’s a place where you might find a unique souvenir and also enjoy a cozy atmosphere among locals, collectors, and families. Whether you’re browsing, bargain-hunting or just people-watching, Krāminieks can give you a glimpse into both Riga’s past and everyday life.

Historical highlight

Āgenskalns Market is one of Riga’s oldest and most culturally significant neighbourhood markets, first opened at the end of the 19th century. Its striking brick pavilion has long served as a central gathering place for local residents, connecting farmers, craftsmen, and city dwellers through everyday trade. After an extensive restoration, the market has been revived as a modern community hub, preserving its historic character while welcoming new cultural events, food stands, and markets like Krāminieks that keep its lively traditions alive.

How to get there

Krāminieks flea market is located at Nometņu iela 64, at Āgenskalns Market on the left bank of the Daugava. To reach it from the city centre, you can cross the bridge to Āgenskalns and then walk about 5–10 minutes along Nometņu iela. Public transport also serves the area - several buses and trams stop nearby. If you’re arriving by car, there is parking available at the market.
