The Fashion Museum offers visitors the opportunity to view unique outfits, clothing, costumes and accessories from the collection of the well-known fashion collector and historian Alexandre Vassiliev, and is one of the three largest private clothing collection in the world.

The Fashion Museum is located in Old Riga, not far from the House of the Blackheads - on a street rich in history, which can be felt in the museum's three halls, with the oldest preserved from the 14th century.

The museum works together with the Alexandre Vassiliev Foundation and offers visitors the opportunity to view the extensive and carefully thought-out collection all throughout the year. The museum's displays are changed every six months. The museum also features information in print, as well as audio and video material and displays. Furthermore, the museum's unique permanent collection, using theatrical sound and lighting, allows the visitor to feel the atmosphere of the most important historical periods of fashion.

Visitors also have the opportunity to try-on a hoop-skirt and other unique clothing. The museum also features cost Art Deco-style cafe and a souvenir shop.
