Shichirin

“Shichi” means seven, “rin” means rings - referring to the number of round grills located on the restaurant’s first floor.

Shichirin is dedicated to authenticity, offering a true Japanese dining experience that reflects the spirit of togetherness, warmth, and simplicity.

The restaurant’s interpretation of Japanese cuisine is shaped by the grill mesh and cast-iron pot - ancient, time-honored tools that give every dish depth and character.

Here, dining is seen as a shared experience: a generous grill at the center of the table, friends and family gathered around, sharing food, stories, and meaningful moments together.

Juusu

A new culinary destination has opened in Riga - Juusu, a restaurant with a clear mission to rediscover the roots of Latvian cuisine and present them in a contemporary, thoughtful way. What may seem simple at first glance is, in fact, an ambitious concept designed to remind Latvians where our food traditions begin, while offering international visitors an authentic insight into Latvia’s culinary heritage.

Juusu is firmly rooted in local sourcing - the menu is created exclusively from products grown and produced in Latvia, in close cooperation with Latvian farmers and local producers. Each dish reflects seasonality, respect for nature, and the stories behind the ingredients.

Juusu is a place where Latvian cuisine is not preserved as a memory of the past, but reimagined as a living, modern experience - equally meaningful for locals and for travellers exploring Latvia through taste.

Every dish is hearty, honest and prepared with care — just like at home.

The menu brings together beloved classics of Latvian cuisine in a contemporary interpretation with refined French touches. Think of a French-style karbonāde prepared with respect for tradition, or the iconic rye-bread trifle served with a sophisticated twist — a mascarpone cream layer.

The kitchen uses seasonal, “living” ingredients sourced from local farms. Altogether, it creates a sincere, modern flavour story rooted in the traditions of our land, our people and our families.
